Young AI Leaders Linz is part of the worldwide Young AI Leaders Community within the AI for Good initiative (UN/ITU). We connect motivated students and young professionals across 100+ hubs in 50+ countries to turn responsible AI ideas into applied projects, events, and ventures.

In Upper Austria, our hub bridges academia, creativity, and industry—creating a path from curiosity to contribution: learn new skills, collaborate on software and community projects, and grow into leadership—while staying connected to a global network of 650+ members.

What makes this different from other AI communities?

We're part of the global AI for Good network (UN/ITU), focusing specifically on ethical AI development. As a member, you'll help strengthen Austria's premier youth-led AI community.

Do I need to have AI experience?

Not at all! We welcome members at all levels, from complete beginners to AI experts. Our community includes diverse backgrounds - what matters most is your passion for AI for Good and willingness to learn and contribute.

What's the time commitment?

It depends on your engagement level - usually a few hours per week if you want to make an impact and seize the opportunities the hub provides. The commitment is flexible based on your availability and interests.

Is there a membership fee?

Membership is completely free. We believe in making AI education and community accessible to all passionate young people. Our programs are supported by our partner organizations.

Can I participate if I'm not based in Linz?

While we prefer members based in Linz or surrounding areas for in-person activities, we can accommodate some remote participation for those in Upper Austria who can occasionally join in-person events.

When do applications close?

We have rolling admissions throughout the year. However, we maintain a selective process to ensure quality engagement and cultural fit.
