Hack for Health Equity 2026
A cross-hub hackathon on health equity, co-organised with YAL Madrid and Young WFPHA. Winning teams carried their work to the World Health Assembly in Geneva and the WFPHA Global Meeting in Cape Town.
What was built
Teams worked on concrete health-equity problems — access, prevention, and data gaps in under-served populations — over a multi-week build cycle rather than a single weekend, with mentoring between checkpoints.
Where it landed
The point of the format is the room afterwards. Winners presented at the World Health Assembly in Geneva and at the WFPHA Global Meeting in Cape Town, in front of public-health decision-makers rather than a jury of organisers.
Our role
Co-organizer alongside YAL Madrid and Young WFPHA: programme design, mentor recruitment, and the Linz participant cohort.
